Head of Key Account Management
Your tasks
1/ Business development
- Understand and transport the customer needs into a framework for a successful procurement of highly profitable and innovative assortments
- Participate in customers annual business and strategy talks
- Align on budgets and timelines for the assortment categories
- Seek for bundling opportunities within the OBI Group Sourcing Asia product portfolio
- Monitor critical path of production and approval process
- Coordinate offer management and accompany buying trips
- Act as on site escalation channel for our customers
2/ Assortment and supplier management
- Implement sourcing strategies, considering supplier performance, observing the sourcing landscape in Asia and mitigating risks for dependency
- Set the framework for Supplier Risk Management
- Drive the strategy for sourcing and manufacturing our customers private label products
- Prepare and conduct annual supplier reviews
- Support customers on volume forecasts, capacity blocking and cost negotiation
3/ End to End Stakeholder Management
- Develop with our customers Category Management Teams, concepts for modern assortment and sourcing management
- Implement and manage the needed framework in Asia
- Share the business strategy with our suppliers and jointly develop solutions for assortments as well as procedures to optimize cost, quality and lead-times
- Observe market developments and derive adjustment needs for the general sourcing strategy or procurement processes
- Pro-actively present business opportunities to our customers for optimization opportunities
4/ Team development
- Manage and coach team subordinates: Responsible for department management, such as communication, evaluation, coaching
- Ensure customers strategy is shared and understood,
- Encourage continuous learning and coaching of product knowledge, market practice, quality standards etc.
- Focus on our staff’s career development
- Set up an analytical and result oriented work atmosphere

Your profile
- Bachelor degree or above
- Over 10 years merchandising/sourcing experience and at least 4 years of experience in account management / trading on managerial level
- Good knowledge of exporting, DIY products according to European standards
- Commercial and sales driven mindset
- Ability to think end to end
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think end-to-end and analyze complex tasks and relationships
- Proactive mindset, strong negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strength in resilience, outstanding team leadership, and collaboration as a team player
- Strong command of English, other languages of advantage
- Good at MS office and ERP skills
